Hello fellow freethinkers! 

I hope your semester is going well and filled with great SSA activities. Please forward this information to your members to remind them of the chance to volunteer with Camp Quest. We still have staff positions open at Camp Quest Chesapeake - no previous experience is required. 

Our CQC staff are developing fun and thought-provoking programs for this July. If the below activities sound like your cup of tea, or if you have a great idea for something completely different, we'd love to hear from you :)

• Socrates Cafe discussions 
• Australia: humanism, mythology, hieroglyphs, and art (we have a staffer from Oz!) 
• Humanism in schools: how to start an SSA chapter, your legal rights 
• Superstition/science myth busting: ripping a phone book in half, experimenting with Pop Rocks & soda, etc. 
• Bugs, bug eating, and cultural perspectives  
• Reptiles with big snakes, turtles, etc. 
• Astronomy with telescopes 
• Electronics: LEDs, mazes, & more 
• Chemistry & creativity: making oobleck, gak, bouncy balls, playdoh, etc. 
• Extracting DNA from a banana
• Rocketry
• Debating fairy tales & kids' movies 
• Light painting with LEDs and long exposure time 
• Pendulum painting 
• Creative writing games 
• Disco & swing dance  
• Improv and Whose Line? games 
• Giant slip n slide 
• Super Twister 
• High ropes course and/or canoeing and/or rock climbing field trip
