Hey VAA,

Our weekly meeting happens to fall on Darwin Day. As such, we will be having a Darwin's birthday social meeting, complete with birthday cake. Join us to celebrate the discovery of evolution, chat with secular folk, and enjoy energy-rich, fitness-promoting carbon compounds.

Other notes and news for the week:

(1) Frank has a message concerning the pending honor reforms.

As some of you are aware, the Honor Committee is placing on the ballot a proposal that includes both informed retraction, where accused students can confess and accept a one year suspension, and jury reform, where juries would be composed of five honor committee members. Because it is undemocratic to deny students the right to vote for one reform and against the other, I am circulating a petition to get informed retraction on the ballot independently. If you are interested in signing but cannot make the meeting, contact me at . If you are interested in helping gather petition signatures, which is desperately needed, call me at 703-868-5354.

(2) The Christian Study Center will be hosting the atheist-friendly Faith, Reason, and Science discussion group this Friday. Come join to offer an atheist's perspective on the topic of mind, body, and soul.
