I didn’t know that an ic page had hung at MOMA. Was it one of the icsupply pages? icsupply produced a single full page sheet of numbers with a bot of 1 and a top of 2, or 3, or 4, etc. The highest icsupply page top was 64. John would use up the supply of tossed answers, never using an answer twice, and mark off his progress with a unique stroke, roughly an L-shaped form. I’m sure you can picture it.

I have written many programs over the last 35 years that use the core I Ching generators internally to get lots of tossing and parameter mapping done efficiently.

And yet there remains a raw and exciting feeling when launching an ic query.

I printed a bunch of pages using dos versions of it years ago. I still have hard copy backup. I use them for an ongoing diary project..

It made me smile when I saw an ic page framed at MOMA years ago. It looked so much like the sheets I still use.
