Hello everyone!
A little while back I had a series of questions for the list regarding
how Cage created mesostics using software. Many people provided a lot
of terrific insight and I am grateful to everyone who answered.
I have been very hard at work creating my mesostic generator as part
of my overall project the Platonic Music Engine
(https://www.platonicmusicengine.com). Right now the only way to use
this mesostic generator is to download the entire PME. You also need
to make sure you have Lua 5.3 installed as well as some recent version
of TeX/LaTeX. Eventually this will all be available via an online
interface.
I have attached a pdf that describes the options available and then
gives five examples of documents exactly as they are generated.
Mesostics are generated from Poe's "The Raven" with the spine
"Lenore".
If anyone has any questions or comments please let me know. I think
everything is working well but one can never be sure.
Thanks again everyone for you help!
Dave Bellows
