Hello Silencers
Mode Records has recently released Vol.45 in our Cage Edition, "The Works for Percussion 2," performed by the young Chicago based Third Coast Percussion. It focuses on early works:
The 3 Constructions
Living Room Music (1940)
and the rarely heard & recorded works:
Quartet (1935)
Trio (1936)
For more information: http://www.moderecords.com/catalog/243_cage.html
Available on CD ($14.99) and on DVD ($19.99, in surround sound and filmed by Ross Karre).
"Living Room Music" is a special treat on the DVD as Third Coast Percussion perform the piece in – and ON – the futurist Ford House in Aurora, IL, designed by one of America’s most iconoclastic architects, Bruce Goff, in 1947.
