Follow up re request for info on serving LGBTQ+ survivors:
Thanks for the great resources provided. I want to offer a few others that might be useful when preparing a training, or having resources available at the training for LGBTQ+ survivors and allies.

From FORGE--This org is a top resource on this topic. I know you already mentioned them, but I want to point out these excellent publications (available online and free to download):
Another resource for LGBTQIA+ survivors, loved ones, and allies is available for purchase at www.CopingResources.com  The booklet "Coping with Sexual Assault: A Guide to Healing for LGBTQIA+ Survivors,
Their Friends and Loved Ones" is 80 pages written by and for LGBTQIA+ survivors with input from a professional advisory team including LGBTQIA+ clinicians, educators, advocates, and researchers.

Full disclosure, I am part owner of Coping Resources. With that in mind, I am happy to mail a complimentary copy of this booklet to anyone on this list. If interested, please email me your mailing address off list at and I will be happy to send a comp copy of this booklet to you.  We are proud of this important resource and grateful to everyone who contributed. I have included a pdf of the table of contents too.

Take care.

Dear Campus and Community Partners,

This is a final reminder to:

  1. Register at the early rate

  2. Submit workshop & poster proposals

Both end this Sunday after 11:59pm

____________________________________________________________________________

Chrysalis Network is so excited to announce that registration is now live for the 10th Annual Solving the Campus Sexual Assault & Dating Violence Puzzle VIRTUAL International Conference, brought to you by Chrysalis Network, the NC State University Counseling Center, and the NC State University Women’s Center.

This year’s conference theme is: Cultivating Hope, Healing, and Justice to Build a Future Without Violence. We will highlight the courageous work of those on campuses and in the community who remain relentless in their push against the cultural norms of silence, victim-blaming, and minimization, to instead create safe, healthy, and accountable communities.

See pricing on the conference website.

Continuing education & OVW Campus Grantee approval

We invite OVW grantees and those seeking CEs to register for the conference now so that you can take advantage of the early registration rate (ends 10/29). Realistically, we may not be notified of the approvals until November and do not want you to miss out on early rates. If we do not receive OVW approval or NBCC CEs (which has never happened), and no longer want to attend, you will receive a full refund.

Please contact me for all questions.

Thank you!

Hi all,

I'm curious if anyone might be open to sharing a copy of any trainings you have created about serving LGBTQIA+ survivors.  We want to do some training with our CCRT, and have general trainings about LGBTQIA+ identities but haven't yet developed something specific to LGBTQIA+ survivors.  This is me not wanting to start from scratch if there are solid resources already available. :)

Also, we will be partnering with FORGE for assessments and feedback at a later time, and their webinars are AWESOME.  We have also learned that our team does best with live facilitation so we are hoping to identify a curriculum we can facilitate or to create one to offer some foundational knowledge before we work with that partner. :D

Thank you!! :D

I have a few things I'm happy to share if it's helpful.
Hope some of this helps. If you're looking for something even more specific just let me know.

Hi All,

The LGBTQIA+ Survivor Task Force (based in San Diego) created a webinar on violence within LGBTQIA+ communities. It has a suggested donation of $25 -- you can register for the webinar here. Hope this helps!

Hi Adriane et al,

I highly recommend the trainings by the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. ACESDV has two videos about serving LGBTQ Survivors of Sexual Violence listed on their YouTube account.
You could contact ACESDV about using those videos to train the CCRT.

Serving LGBTQ Survivors of Sexual Violence #1:

Serving LGBTQ Survivors of Sexual Violence #2:

Here is the ACESDV website:

I hope that this helps!

All the best,
Carolyn
