Dear SAPC colleagues,
I’m excited to share with you that registration for NOVA’s Campus Advocacy Training (NCAT) is open! NCAT is intended for campus advocates and community-based advocates serving college campuses and covers topics such as ethics & boundaries, confidentiality, privacy, and privilege, language justice, federal laws, restorative justice, forensic exams, and much more. NCAT is seven (7) weeks of live training facilitated by national campus experts, and will be offered January 17-February 28, 2024 on Wednesdays only from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET. This training is virtual only with occasional pre-work and homework materials. Participants of this unique academy may be eligible to apply for the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP)’s Campus Advocacy Specialist Credential.
