Dear Colleagues,

I hope this finds you all as well as can be during these challenging times. You all know better than anyone that ending campus sexual violence is no easy task, especially when the folks so often charged with that work - prevention, Title IX, etc. - are stretched thin, both in terms of person-power and resources.

I’m writing today to share information about Culture of Respect’s Foundations online course, which we built to help transform stakeholders from other offices and departments on campus into allies, champions, and partners in this work. This course builds stakeholders’ foundational understanding of campus sexual violence prevention and response, and helps them consider how they can play an active role in this work, regardless of where they are positioned in the institution (read: help make your job easier!). The six-module course is taught by NASPA staff with expertise in social work, student affairs, public health, peer education, assessment, and violence prevention and serves as a great follow-up to the introductory Title IX/Clery Act training provided by your institution.

We know that folks may be looking for ways to maximize their end of year professional development dollars, so we have created a special coupon code (“SUMMER20”) to help folks access Foundations at nearly 70% off the normal price. We can also provide group pricing discounts if you’re interested in having an entire department complete the course, as some institutions are doing; please contact me if that’s something you’re interested in. We hope you find Foundations to be a helpful tool in engaging your entire campus community in the work to foster a culture of respect.

Warmly,

Alli
