Hello <<CUSTOM_1>>,

I am writing to introduce myself and to provide a notification to you about services within the institution and in the community. Sometimes students like to have a staff member to discuss things with when they are struggling with a problem. Information about advocacy services can be found at this website: https://www.binghamton.edu/ivp/

We are available to provide support, lend advice and help faculty and students find the right resources to address the issue. We can explore options with you and also develop a safety plan with you if needed. We work closely with resources both on- and off-campus. We can also assist you with academic, housing, transportation, employment and other reasonable and available accommodations regardless of your reporting choices. Please make an appointment to speak with me. You can contact our office via email, phone, or in person. Our office is in UUW 207 and our phone number is 607 777-2804.

You have the right to make a report to University police or campus security, local law enforcement, and/or State Police or, choose not to report; to report the incident to Binghamton University, to be protected by the University from retaliation for reporting an incident; and to receive assistance and resources from Binghamton University. Please note that you may also be able to file for an Order of Protection through the court system. If you would like to explore this option, I will be able to assist, just let me know.

Hi Everyone,

I apologize for cross-postings.

Does anyone have a template for outreach emails to survivors, you are willing to share?  This could be from a university, title IX staff or advocacy staff.   Our university is looking to develop one universal message that would go out as an initial contact when we become aware of someone experiencing harm.

Thank you.

Jennie
