Registration for SPECTRUM closes on June 12th We are excited that we will be joined in Albany, NY by over 400 colleagues from 23 states and territories (as far as Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada) for the nation’s largest education conference devoted to preventing and responding to sexual and interpersonal violence against members of the LGBTQI+ community. While the deadline for registration is quickly approaching, there is still room for those not yet registered who wish to make a difference in reducing the impact of violence against our LGBTQI+ students and community members. Join hundreds of colleagues in raising capacity to support our students. Visit suny.edu/events/spectrum before June 12th to register for the SPECTRUM Conference.
Commemorate the third anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges decision with Jim Obergefell, learn about the national outlook for litigation and legislation with the Human Rights Campaign’s lead attorney Sarah Warbelow, dive into cutting-edge research with Dr. Genny Beemyn, and hear moving addresses from Jane Clementi, mother of Tyler Clementi and Antuan Raimone, currently on Broadway in Hamilton. This is in addition to college presidents, heads of government agencies, and speakers from across the country (see attached agenda for details). All for a deeply reduced registration cost.
SPECTRUM will feature more than 40 exciting concurrent speakers, and renowned keynote speakers including (alphabetical):
SPECTRUM (June 19-20) features 36 concurrent sessions, which will dive deeply into topics ranging the spectrum from early prevention to tailored response in addition to pre- and post-conference opportunities (June 18 & 21). Content experts from a wide variety of disciplines will provide practical and implementable education and training that is specifically tailored to the range of professionals who play an integral role in reducing incidents of violence against our LGBTQI+ students and community members. Sessions focus on content areas specific to several roles including:

SPECTRUM Student Rate: Thanks to a generous grant from the SUNY Office of General Counsel, we are able to reduce the student registration cost by 20% to $100 for the two-day SPECTRUM conference. Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students or individuals who graduated in December 2017 or May 2018 are eligible. Please select “Student Rate Only For Main Conference” when registering. Please feel free to share with interested current undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates.
Batch Registration Available: Campuses wishing to register more than one person and pay together are able to use batch registration through June 12. Please e-mail for those of you wishing to do so.
