The Albany County SAFE Project is hiring an advocate to serve the University of Wyoming campus community. The individual will work for the Albany County SAFE
Project, but will be located on campus in the STOP Violence office 10 months of the year, and at the Albany County SAFE Project office in Laramie 2 months of the year. This position is VOCA grant funded for at least 2 years, with the possibility for extension. Albany County SAFE Project is seeking applicants for a University of Wyoming Campus Advocate. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including health care, vacation days, sick time,
holidays, and Wyoming retirement. Starting salary $32,000.
This position will be housed in the UW Dean of Students STOP Violence Program office August - May, and at the SAFE Project office June - July. This person will be the primary SAFE Project advocate
for UW students, and will a have close working relationship with the STOP Violence Program Coordinator. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for facilitating SAFE Project services presentations on the UW campus.
Advocacy duties include providing support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, assisting with SAFE’s 24 hour hotline, legal advocacy, referrals,
and crisis intervention. The selected candidate will be required to attend SAFE Project’s 40-hour advocacy training in September.
