Good afternoon all,

VCU is a proud partner with Fear 2 Freedom and as the former Regional Hospital Accompaniment Coordinator in the Greater Richmond, VA area, survivors, adults & children, truly enjoyed receiving these items.

I have attached some pictures from our most recent F2F event, April 2016.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

I’m not familiar with their work (thanks for sharing their website!), but I love the idea of providing care boxes to survivors when they come to the hospital. While it’s not true that all survivors’ clothes are taken all the time, I think it’s a really sweet, thoughtful idea to provide survivors with a box of resources that include things like journals, cards telling them that people care about them, toiletries, etc. When I was an advocate, I would have loved to have a box like that to give to survivors, especially survivors who were homeless or low-income. I think it’s a wonderful idea, and a really neat way to get college students involved in supporting survivors in their communities. From what I read on their website, it sounds like a great mechanism to connect universities, hospitals, and crisis centers.

Hi Friends –

I received a solicitation email from Fear 2 Freedom about their new campus programming. Has anyone had experience with this organization or have thoughts on their work?
