I have not used the “Zero Shades of Grey” program, but I looked at the website to learn more about it and have a couple of immediate concerns. If you click on
the “Seminar Slide Summary” at the bottom, there is a slide warning students to “Be careful in the Red Zone,” which, coupled with the largely heteronormative statistics that are presented in the other slides, may inadvertently reaffirm the cultural message
that women need to be more careful when they go out. That said, I don’t know what kind of verbal content goes along with the slides. Maybe someone who has experience with this program can chime in?
