Hello All!

I wonder if some of you at other institutions have experienced problems in your school library, where a student worker in the library may receive unwanted or persistent attention from a patron?

Some of our students have reported that patrons sometimes interpret their friendliness and willingness to help (which is a large part of their job at the reference desk) as flirting or an invitation for further attention.  We are trying to identify creative ways to shift this dynamic before situations escalate!

Any thoughts you have would be helpful!

Thank you!
