CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education) Advocate at UC Santa Cruz

Starting Salary Range: $4,166-$4,916/monthly [$50,000-$59,000 annual; 11-month position]. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education) Advocate at the University of California Santa Cruz will support and advocate for campus victims/survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking by working with campus and community partners, including UC Santa Cruz Police Department, Women's Center, Student Health Services, Academic Colleges, Housing and Educational Services (CHES), Student Judicial Affairs, the Dean of Students Office, Title IX, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Monarch Services and Walnut Avenue Women's Center.

Working with other Campus CARE staff, the CARE Advocate will publicize the advocacy services offered on campus and in the community with assistance from the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) members. The CARE Advocate will be supervised by the CARE Coordinator, and will assist in conducting targeted outreach to underserved communities. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, permanent position, and does not require on-call duties after hours. This position includes a one month summer furlough where the CARE Advocate remains an employee and retains health benefit eligibility, but does not work nor receive pay during that period.
