Ellen, and SAPC listserv,

I would also like this information as well, as myself and another advocate are trying to form a new advocacy program. While we both have confidentiality under the school law, we operate under an open records law in the state of Georgia, so we are having some complications surrounding that, in considering who and what we document for survivors.

Any information would be much appreciated!

Hi Ellen,

That is great news! Congratulations!  I would be interested in seeing the responses you get.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Good morning, all!

The Women's Resource Center here at EMU has just recently been granted confidentiality from reporting SA/DV information to our Title IX officer or campus police department.  This is of course to provide a safe and supportive location to discuss the trauma and options if the individual does not wish to report to the school at that time.  We are working on internal logistics before announcing to the campus community.  One of those pieces is consideration of an intake form.  I'm wondering if any other women's centers who have confidentiality use any sort of intake form, and if you would be willing to share it.  This is particularly important because I would not have confidentiality under state regulations, so we are trying to protect individuals if/when a case is handled through criminal channels outside of the school.

Thank you!
Ellen
