Greetings:

Again, sorry for repetition:

My suggestion would be to speak/interact with the folks at the National Center for Victims of Crime, the National Crime Victim Bar Association (Mai Fernandez and Jeff Dion, respectively), and Cari Simon.

We have extensive, first-hand experience litigating/negotiating these issues, particularly with respect to fraternities and sororities and sexual violence.  There are many things universities can/should do in order to comply with the law, protect victims, prevent retaliation, and lessen their exposure to subsequent litigation (because they got it “right” in the first instance).

All the best.

Hello afternoon all:

I’d like to touch base with anyone who has had experience working with their Fraternity and Sorority Life staff when one of the student organizations is under a campus Title IX investigation.

We have had lots of discussions on how the groups should operate when an investigation is on-going and would like to see if others have insight into best practices.
