My suggestion would be to speak/interact with the folks at the National Center for Victims of Crime, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association (Mai Fernandez and Jeff Dion, respectively), who just finished doing a webinar on these topics for U.S. Attorney Generals across the country.  They’re working with Cari Simon, Esq., from my office (full disclosure), since she pretty much is at the top of the attorney/legal/expertise food chain in this area of the law.

Her and their experience combined is essentially unmatched, and the program they offer is extremely interesting and grounded in actual first-hand experience litigating the issues (Title IX, 28 U.S.C. ยง 1983, inadequate training, state tort claims . . .) and working with universities to eliminate hostile school environments so that students can get full access to the benefits of their education.

All the best.

I’d recommend the Victim Rights Law Center, http://www.victimrights.org/

Hi Everyone,

We are looking to train our investigators and hearing panel members on dating and domestic violence—both the dynamics (victim behaviors, abuser behaviors, cycle of violence, etc.) and on how to investigate these types of questions (what to ask, how to ask, etc).

If anyone has suggestions on folks who could do this type of training, it would be most appreciated!

Be well,

Jenn
