I think that this video achieves your intention for it, and it's heartening to see a video that seems genuine in its linkage of truly working to end sexual violence with the mission of the institution. It was wonderful to see your work in action. LB

Dear Colleagues:
I am proud to share with you the new video on U-M's institutional commitment to ending sexual misconduct here on the eve of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

This video was created over the course of 6 months of filming, editing, and revising; it includes voices from our faculty who consider this issue in both their teaching and their research, from a patient care provider whose focus is providing post-sexual assault care, and from our institutional leaders.  In other words, I hope the video reflects that ending sexual assault is a part of our core institutional mission of excellence in teaching, research, and patient care.

Please feel free to share this video with others in your professional networks; I think it is a good example of visible institutional leadership that I hope will be a model for other campuses as well. Here on the eve of Sexual Assault Awareness month it is my hope that the courage of students and survivors in speaking about this issue will be matched by our leaders.  I welcome feedback of all kinds.

Best--
