We have a very complicated BIT case which has created a series of issues between our victim advocate and our Dean of Students office.
Could you please respond to the following questions? Thanks for any help and guidance you can provide.
1. Could you describe the boundaries for your sexual assault advocate in terms of her/his involvement in Dean of Students including facilitating
meetings and passing on information such as statements if DOS staff is not available?
2. Could you please describe her/his involvement in relaying information to the victim?
3. Is the victim advocate seen as the “go between” or central point of contact for other university offices?
4. How does your victim advocate draw the line between advocating for the victim and protecting the University?
