Good afternoon,
We are exploring the best and most practical options for providing SANE services for our students outside of normal Health Center hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) because we do not have SANE certified nurses at our local hospital.
I would be interested to hear from schools who provide SANE services outside of health center hours to see how the process is managed, especially around the following questions:
o What space is used – do on call nurses go to the local hospital or open up the Health Center space
o Are nurses from the health center rotating on call duty or are outside nurses contracted
I would appreciate any feedback, as we are relatively new to providing SANE services in general and want to be sure we are providing our survivors with the best available resources.
Thanks so much,
Lindsey
