Hi Audrey –
Here is a link to a position issued by the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) on this topic:

We do place a designation for suspension and/or expulsion, as this relates to the individual’s relationship to the institution. We would not place a designation
for probation or anything lower than a suspension. A follow up document will also likely be posted soon at this site:

Good afternoon from sunny and warm West Texas. How many of you place a designation on a student’s transcript when he/she is placed on either Probation or Suspension for Disciplinary Reasons? We currently DO NOT place any notification and I would like to change that and am in the process of gathering information for my proposal. Thank you. Audrey
