Coordinator, Peer Education Programs
The University of Alabama seeks a creative and experienced professional to coordinate departmental outreach and university student peer education programs to address interpersonal violence. The position is responsible for the coordination of student peer education
groups in a variety of formats which may include: an educational theatre troupe using the model of Theater of The Oppressed, the Safe Sisters Greek program, and a selection of student organization leaders. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, and
supervising diverse group of student peer educators. The coordinator is responsible for facilitating peer education presentations and performances and coordinating all departmental speaking presentations. The coordinator organizes departmental special events
related to interpersonal violence, such as Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and other gender focused areas, such as Hispanic Heritage Month and Pay Equity Week. The University of Alabama is an equal opportunity institution/employer.
