ROLE of the POSITION
Student Wellness at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas seeks a full-time CARE Line Coordinator for the Jean Nidetch Women's Center (JNWC) to join a dynamic, integrated service delivery unit that includes a health center, counseling center, wellness promotion, pharmacy, women's center, and offices for disabilities and student conduct. The UNLV Jean Nidetch Women's Center offers comprehensive advocacy services for students, faculty and staff that are responsive to the needs of our diverse student population. The Project Manager will provide day-to-day management and oversight for the UNLV Campus Grant through the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded 2013. The Manager will have responsibility for ensuring smooth operation of key operational components of the program and will provide coordination and management of all grant-related activities and grant reports, under the oversight of the Project Director. The Project Manager will have primary responsibility for collaborative relations with on and off-campus organizations who have indicated support and advancement of project objectives through Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and directing timelines and tracking progress for project completion. The Project Manager will ensure timely completion of grant-related activities related to the four minimum requirements, including coordinating and leading Advocacy, Support, Education, Response Team Against Violence (ASERTAV) meetings, law enforcement trainings and first year seminars. The Project Manager will also coordinate the work of consultants for advancing services for underserved communities and training for campus staff who will become instructors for the bystander intervention (Green Dot) program.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, health promotion or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and 1-2 years of anti-violence advocacy experience to include sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking; grant management experience and relevant experience in an educational or social service setting.
SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is a grant funded position and is only available throughout the grant cycle (2013-2016).
