Hi All,
I'm seeking your input about and experience with the app 'Circle of 6'. I've been looking for a way that my campus can use technology to be more active in sexual violence prevention and I came across Circle of 6. The app is designed for college students; it has them pick their closest 6 friends and then enables then to quickly and easily send messages such as 'I need to get home safely, come pick me up' and includes GPS to the sender's location. It also sends messages such as 'I need an interruption, call me and pretend you need me'. It has a function to input 3 hotlines - a rape crisis hotline, a DV hotline, and one that users can input. There is a second component about getting students to take a pledge that they 'will not let violence happen in my circle'.
Have you had experience launching this on your campus or hear any reviews, positive or negative? Please let me know any thoughts you have on this.
