The Respect Program in the Office of Health Promotion is seeking candidates for a part-time (20 hr/wk), temporary (through end of May 2013) position working primarily with providing advocacy for undergraduate and graduate students affected by sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. As this position is temporary, we would appreciate support in helping recruit if you know individuals who might be appropriate or channels that might be appropriate.

Education: BA, BS, or BSW required in counseling, student services, social work, public health, or related field. MPH, MSW or MA degree and credentials as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Masters Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) preferred.
Experience and Skills: Response, Advocacy and Student Support · Crisis counseling experience essential · Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and to use sound judgment in responding to crisis situations · Ability to work effectively with student, faculty, administrative, parent and other external constituencies essential
Duties & Responsibilities: · This position is responsible for responding to students who seek advocacy and support as a result of sexual violence. · Provide individual support and assistance for students who have experienced sexual assault/IPV/stalking, and support Emory’s 24-hour on-call system for emergency response. Individual support includes case management related to healthcare, safety, housing, academic needs and referrals to law enforcement, Office of Student Conduct, Student Health and Counseling Services, and/or other campus and community resources as desired by the survivor · Participate in overall activities and mission of the Office of Health Promotion · Coordinate consistent reporting of incidents of sexual assault and other relationship violence via an anonymous reporting form and corresponding protocols, complying with federal guidelines · Consult with staff, faculty and other students who are assisting students with concerns about sexual assault (survivors, friends of survivors, students concerned they may have perpetrated an assault, etc.). · Position may require evening and weekend work; flexible schedule negotiable · Other duties as required
Reportability: · This position reports to Coordinator of the Respect Program in the Office of Health Promotion within Emory Student Health and Counseling Services and the Division of Campus Life.
