Hi all -
When I was at NC State, I did a campus climate survey that focused on victimization, perpetration and bystander behavior. We used Banyard's bystander behavior survey and combined it with Koss's victimization and perpetration surveys - all validated measures. I got permission from both researchers to combine them. We made a few changes but they were mostly exactly the same. The survey was IRB-approved and vetted through our campus task force. We worked with our office of University Planning and Analysis to get a random sample and we had a response rate of 20+% which we were told was very high for a campus survey and also for one dealing with these issues. Responders were overall a pretty good representation of our campus community.
We were able to use some grant funds to offer survey incentives - mostly NCSU gear. The results were very helpful in bringing awareness to the issues on campus - definitely helped to secure hard funding too.
I'm happy to send anyone the survey we created and the emails we sent out, just let me know.
Happy surveying!

Greetings:
The Sexual Respect Task Force at my institution is looking to conduct a campus climate survey. I was wondering if folks would be willing to share a survey they conducted recently so we can provide the group with some context regarding what it is we are hoping to evaluate.
If you have any information to share, please email Gretchen Krull, my colleague in Health Education, at .
Thanks in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
Liza Nascembeni
