Hi All - I am writing as a reminder that we are coming up on our next Green Dot Institute July 23-26 in Lexington, KY. Registration closes July 9th. 

The Green Dot Violence Prevention Strategy is a new way of thinking about and doing prevention.  Green Dot is about culture change - harnessing the power of individual choices to shift our current norms.  It was designed by integrating some of the best research on social change, diffusion of innovation, communication/marketing, bystander intervention, and perpetration patterns into a comprehensive program. The Green Dot Institute will certify participants to implement the Green Dot Violence Prevention Strategy in their communities. This certification applies to our High School and College Curricula.  Our middle school and k-3 curricula are in development and training opportunities for certification in these will be made available as soon as we have them!  In terms of our July Green Dot Institute, this training will include a comprehensive review of the philosophy, research base, overarching violence prevention strategy, curriculum and implementation plan.  Participants should expect a through provoking and highly interactive training the will leave them with renewed hope and a vision to make our world safer.  Our training is designed for professionals and is not appropriate for students.  For more information about our training see: http://www.livethegreendot.com/js_video.html
