Dear colleagues;

The listserv below is an alert service that provides members with information about new caselaw involving sexual violence.

In particular, we monitor appellate decisions involving sexual assault law and policy, then we summarize the cases in easy to understand non-lawyer language, along with an editorial critique that explains the significance of the ruling and its likely impact on victims and other stakeholders such as care providers, women as a class, etc.  The goal is to bridge the gap between legal theory, policy and real-world practice, and to identify legal trends so that advocates can effectively participate in efforts to improve the legal response to sexual violence.

Many of you are already members of the list, but for those who may not be aware, or may be new, I'm sending the link to facilitate your participation.

We send out, on average, one case per month - and it is not interactive - though we manage a searchable database of summaries so that cases can be retrieved for research needs, etc., in the future.
