Hi Amy, we like this video and use it with our students as well. We have not
gotten negative responses during the discussion, an I'd be happy to talk with
you on the phone about how we facilitate this discussion. This year, we also
had our students identify questions for discussion and we recorded these in a
document as facilitating questions for our peer educa
tors to use when showing the film. I'd be happy to share these when I am back
in the office.

Subject: Speak Out & Stand Up; SA outreach in general
Hello Everyone:
I was wondering if any of you are using the Speak Out & Stand Up video from
Security on Campus? We are currently using the video (I really like it) but I
am having a hard time with the discussion after. The video is heavily
risk-reduction focused; with a small bit geared at bystander intervention for
men. As a woman who goes in and presents it, I still get a lot of negative
feedback from men in the room.
I have tried clickers, focusing on AFS, small groups etc. I know the best
thing would be to teach by gender, with a male co-presenter, but that just
isn't going to happen.
I am curious what if anything others are doing.
Regards,
Amy
