Juliette, Good points in this article. It should be noted that the definition referenced is the police agency definition (UCR) and not the NIBRS definition in use by campus police agencies, which does include sexual assault with an object, forcible fondling, sodomy and rape. Still, I hope they will push for NIBRS reform as well, because these definitions are force and resistance based, rather than consent-based (which the law now is in many jurisdictions). They still encompass non-consensual acts, but not explicitly enough.
