Tomorrow morning at 7:43am, the Today Show is airing a piece regarding a campus rape case involving Wake Forest University.  The case involves  two members of their men's basketball program.  The survivor is a courageous and talented member of the Wake Forest band; she was sexually assaulted by a member of the men’s basketball team following Wake Forest's loss on the road during the NCAA tournament in 2009.   She reported her assault to both Wake Forest University and the police but neither were of any help.  Shortly thereafter, she left Wake Forest for good.

This survivor will be one of three women interviewed who have all experienced similar treatment from their Universities in recent cases.  This piece will be one of many recently that have been aired in the media that will hopefully continue to bring  needed attention and awareness to the pervasive problem of inadequate school response to an issue facing so many.

The piece airs tomorrow, Thursday May 19^th, 7:43 a.m., on the Today show, and will be available afterward on nbc.com.
