Description: 
The Women’s Studies Program at the University of Central Florida,
College of Arts and Humanities, announces a position for an instructor
to start on August 8th 2011. Applicants’ minimum requirements at time
of hiring are a M.A. or M.S. on Women’s Studies or relevant areas of
study, (i.e. English, Sociology, Philosophy or History) and a strong
teaching history as adjunct or instructor of record in Women’s Studies
courses. This is a nine-month faculty position with teaching and service
requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two
years teaching experience as instructor of record in one of the broad
areas of inquiry within the program: (1) Feminist Theory (2) Women’s
Movements, Global and Local (3) Girls’ Studies (4) Women’s Wellness
(5) Gender and Women’s Research. Experience advising students on
Service Learning projects and the ability to teach online is considered
a plus. The Women’s Studies Program offers a graduate certificate, a
minor and an undergraduate certificate. Situated in the greater
metropolitan area of Orlando, Florida, the University of Central Florida
