Colleagues,
I pass along word today that the University of the Pacific won
summary judgement on all counts of the Title IX lawsuit arising from the gang
rape last year that received so much negative press amidst allegations of
administrative inaction. Congratulations to NASPA President Elizabeth
Griego, who is their VPSA, and her staff on a decision that is strongly
supportive of the conduct process at the U of the P. Their dedication to
doing the right thing has my deep respect, and I hope the maligning of their
reputations and that of the University of the Pacific can now be put
straight.
Regards,
