Men's Initiative coordinator/VISTA

The Men's Initiative Coordinator VISTA will work to engage a core group of men interested in joining the fight against domestic violence. Project duties will include: 1) Recruit participants and plan monthly Initiative meetings 2) Prepare activities and special events for men and boys 3) Research and identify tools and resources needed for men to become stronger allies 4) Respond to telephone inquires, disseminate information 5) Assist in organizing data, statistics of domestic violence for easier dissemination 6) Assist in the development of feedback tools to stay up-to-date on the men's needs. The position is full time (35 hour per week) with a monthly subsistence allowance of $936.00 ($430.82 Bi-weekly). VISTA benefits include: an education award of $5,350 or a stipend of $1,500, child care benefits up to $400 per child per month, health benefits, and life insurance.
