There are many reasons why the production of global stats are very rare. The
ones I know of are all based on men's violence against of women. These are:

Ending Violence Against Women (Heise and Ellsberg, 1999): a meta-analysis of
many smaller studies, resulting in a global estimate

WHO World Report on Violence - Sexual Violence chapter (2002)

WHO Multi-country Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence against
Women (2005)

I'd love to know if there are others.

Subject: looking for global sexual violence stats

Can anyone on the SAPC listserv direct me toward a reliable source of
current (2010, if possible) _global_ statistics about the incidence of
sexual violence toward both men and women? I can track down statistics for
some individual countries, and often those statistics are exclusively
about women, but I have not been able to find world-wide numbers. I called
Amnesty International today, in New York, but they, too said they don't
have access to global numbers like that, and for both genders.

If anyone can help steer me in the right direction, I will be most grateful.

Thanks,

Marjorie
