Hi all,

A student of mine, Gabi Casanas, is interested in researching existing faculty models for discussing sexual violence in the classroom. We've heard about several instances where faculty have not necessarily been unprepared to handle disclosures of sexual violence, but rather are presenting sexually violent material (videos, literature, case studies) in a way that upsets students who have not been warned of the content OR faculty are misstating facts, sharing victim-blaming attitudes, etc when peer educators/survivors in the classroom feel silenced and/or powerless to speak up.

Does anyone have mandatory faculty training, trigger warnings or disclaimers on syllabi, student survivor speaker bureaus, or anything else to address such issues? Please reply directly to Gabi at .

Much thanks,
Michelle
