Many institutions will have conduct codes that include a standard of conduct 
that will be to the effect of "violations of local, state, or federal law," 
in part so that if a student violates a law that is not otherwise included in 
a student code of conduct, they can be held accountable by the institution.  
That would likely be a good move to help the institution for this sort of 
behavior.

Subject: Child Pornography Campus Policy?

Hey all -

We unfortunately just had one of our students arrested for various counts of 
downloading child pornography. While he could be sanctioned in our office of 
student conduct under pther codes, we do not have one specifically for child 
pornography and I was wondering if anyone out there did and what your 
thoughts are about having one.
