I 2nd the Courage to Heal, although it can be a bit intense for those not
quite ready to move into survivor mode.
Our program has found these useful:
- Wounded Boys, Heroic Men - (Male survivors of childhood)
- Dragonslippers: This is what an abusive relationship looks like.
(this is a really nice animated novel for victims of dating and dv violence)
- Helping your child recover from sexual abuse. (crisis team uses
excerpts from this for parents after recent disclosures)
- How Long Does it Hurt (this is a great one for adolescents or teens)

Courage to Heal is still my favorite of all books, and the workbook is great
too if they are working on their healing.
