Hi Everyone

We have had mandatory new student orientation programming on sexual
aggression issues since 2000.  I order to get highest attendance we work
with our Residence Life staff and actually scan student ID's at the
door.  We will present eight programs over two days to approximately
4,000 students.  Each program has specific residence halls scheduled so
that we have control of the numbers.  The program we present is called
"No Zebras, No Excuses".  It consists of twelve vignettes covering
sexual assault, partner violence, harassment, and stalking.  Students
present the vignettes and between scenes two facilitators talk about
what was just presented.  It has been studied on two separate occasions
and a significant change was found pre, post, and longitudinal on rape
acceptance myths, and likelihood to intervene.  We created a DVD for
purchase three years ago that has sold out.  We filmed our new
"Zebras..." this fall that addresses bystanders in a greater way.  The

Hello Colleagues,

I am in the process of doing some research on what other universities
are doing regarding mandatory sexual assault education for students
living on campus, specifically freshmen.  Are educators addressing this
during orientation?  Does anyone have an on-going program they do in the
dorms?  I would be interested in seeing a sample of the curriculum you
are using, for those willing to share.
