just back from the IVAT conference in San Diego - 

one issue that i covered involved sexual violence and alcohol - 

professor/researcher jackie white and susan lewis (NSVRC) presented riveting 
data on the topic 

i dealt with law and policy - and the audience was eager to hear more about 
how to deal with the issue - many were connected to universities and other 
institutions (military)

i see this topic as not only "hot" but worthy of much energy and campus 
conversation - at all levels - 

i also saw most of a new film about alcohol and domestic violence that 
confirmed many of the same points re sexual violence -
