Searching for the term "Sex Signals" in the SAPC archives yields 44 posts
going back to 2005. I know that I have at least one long email in there that
I wrote a couple of years ago. I have not looked at all the archived
messages, but I think it is safe to say that there is a fairly consistent
pattern of disagreement.

So, instead of finding my old post and pasting it here, I would encourage
anyone interested to access the archives. Here are instructions:

1) Go to:
https://list.mail.virginia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sapc

2) All subscribers to this list have a password that they either picked or
that was generated automatically. If you do not know your password, get a
password reminder using the utility at the bottom of the page. Put your
email address in the box and click on the button labeled "Unsubscribe or
edit options"

3) Once you have your password, go to:
https://list.mail.virginia.edu/mailman/private/sapc/

and use your email address and password to log-in.
