The following it what is in our draft of our sexual assault protocol:
SCSU recognizes that various violations of the Student Code of Conduct
involve student alcohol use. The University encourages the reporting of
serious conduct code violations such as sexual assault, therefore, SCSU does
not intend to hold complainants accountable for conduct code violations
related to alcohol and other drugs, when a more serious violation/crime has
occurred.

Alison, I know you didn't intend this but today I received 10 "I will be out
of
the office" messages from you. I expect you will be cluttering up my inbox
every day until you return. Before your next trip, I would really appreciate
it if
you would check to see if there isn't some better way to set your auto-
messages.
To the rest of you who use autoreply, besides the inconvenience to us,
please consider the safety implications of telling the world your schedule.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with what accommodations are
considered reasonable for a student who has been diagnosed with PTSD
following a sexual assault. Do you know if folks are ever allowed
absences as part of accommodations? Thanks for any information you can
offer!

Good morning. I'm interested in hearing input about implementing a
written alcohol amnesty policy. I think a published policy is
important for victims who may be hesitant to seek services in fear of
punishment for drinking on campus or underage.
Do any folks have such a policy in place? If so, would you be willing
to share? I'm also interested to hear if mandatory alcohol
assessments are in the policy or if any other outcomes are included
that might feel like a sanction. Also, is your policy ever marketed
on campus? Thanks for any information you can share about content or
process!
