Mr. Rojo today responded with a letter to the editor "to clarify statements"
that he made in the earlier article. The letter is online at...

Clarified or not this raises the very important point that not only colleges
and universities but our society as a whole often looks at "acquaintance
rape" as something less serious than it is. Research, and our experience,
has shown that the majority of these rapists are just as predatory if not
more so than their "stranger" rapist counterparts.

The attitude that they aren't a threat to anybody else is simply wrong, as
is the thought that continuing to subject their victims to their presence
isn't a problem.
