We have a 15-year-old student group called SAVE (Sexual Assault and Violence
Education) that operates out of our women's center. They run several events a
year -- Week Without Violence in the fall, Take Back the Night in the spring,
and also sponsor films and speakers. They operate very informally as a club,
and get very little training.
I would like to arrange a training program for SAVE members to enable them
to be more effective peer educators and also to be able to respond in an
optimum way to other students who disclose being victims of sexual assault or
dating violence.
Do you have recommendations for consultants or programs that can do this kind
of training? Thanks very much.
