UW-Madison, through University Health Services, is recruiting a Violence
Against Women Prevention and Training Coordinator for a U.S. Department
of Justice Grant to address sexual assault, dating violence, domestic
violence, and stalking (award number 2008-WA-AX-0003). This 2.5 year,
.75 FTE position will implement a first-year online prevention education
program and provide and law enforcement/judicial affairs training on
sexual assault and intimate partner violence. The goals of the grant
award are to reduce the occurrence of sexual assaults/intimate partner
violence, increase the reporting of these crimes, and enhance community
responsibility for addressing violence against women through an
integrated, collaborative approach in four areas: prevention,
perpetrator accountability, victim services, and training/coordination.
The position will report directly to the project director and work
closely with the grant advisory body.
Minimum Requirements: A minimum of three years full-time professional
experience in primary prevention services in a university setting;
professional training and development with law enforcement agencies;
and/or sexual assault/intimate partner violence victim (SA/IPV)
services. Unpaid or volunteer experience in these fields may be applied
to this requirement but may not replace the professional experience
entirely; candidates who wish to apply volunteer experience should
demonstrate how their experience is equivalent to professional
experience.
