I want to endorse Wendy's email about her presentation on language - I've
just seen it and it's fantastic!  Similar endorsement for Angela Shelton's
presentation about the sword.  I haven't seen Tory's presentation but I'm
sure it's wonderful because she is!

All three of these women would be perfect to invite to your campus or
community, especially for April.  Please consider doing so.

Until the violence stops, Ben.

"We should ask men why is it that when a woman comes up to us and says "don't
beat me and don't rape me", we say, 'oh, you must not like men.'"

Hi all,

A colleague of mine has asked me to see if anyone knows of any research
regarding the success rates of a solid investigation when a sexual assault
advocate is allowed to accompany a victim during a police interview vs. when
advocates are not allowed to be present during an interview. Any research on
police interview best practices that include allowing a victim advocate (and
why) would also be helpful.

She is also curious as to how other cities have approached this issue, so if
anyone wants to weigh in, feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks!
Michelle
