Hi all-
I'm looking for resources (manuals, curriculums, guidelines, and so on)
that community rape crisis centers could use to implement support groups
for Latina/o survivors of sexual violence.
I am looking for more than a simple English to Spanish translation of
existing support group materials, because direct translations do not
take into account differences in cultures. I would like resources that
consider cultural dynamics, concerns and issues. Having said that I
understand that Latina/o is a broad term and that every Latina/o
survivor is not the same; I am looking for a starting place for this
project.
We have received feedback from rape crisis centers in North Carolina
that they would like information on this topic and if anyone is willing
to share their material it would be GREATLY appreciated!
If people want to contact me privately off of the listserv I would be
willing to compile a final list of resources I receive and post that to
the group.
Thank you!
-Kristen
