Hi all!
RAINN recently received a grant to provide Technical Assistance materials
and we are currently surveying rape crisis centers and campus organizations
to find out what there is a demand for. I'm passing along this information
and a link to the survey from a colleague:
Based on data from surveys that RAINN has conducted over the last 3 years,
we applied for and received a grant to provide technical assistance to our
affiliates and partners. Your participation in this survey will help us
create and distribute relevant technical assistance materials.

Our other surveys have shown that:
• 85% of the centers surveyed would like additional training materials
• 60% of centers surveyed feel that recruitment and retention is their
biggest barrier to making effective use of volunteers
We are also interested in getting feedback from volunteers. If you have a
volunteer who would be willing to provide us with some feedback, please copy
the link below or forward them this message.

In surveying volunteers our goal is to gather information about their
experience and to use that information to help affiliates develop and retain
volunteers. We will happily provide the combined results of the survey to
participating centers.
If you have a newsletter for staff and/or volunteers going out this month,
we would be very grateful if you would include the survey link and a brief
explanation, such as "In order to develop technical assistance materials for
affiliates and partners, RAINN is conducting a survey on the training needs
of sexual assault service providers. To participate in the survey, please
use this link:

We would like to collect all responses by October 25th so that we can begin
creating materials.
Thank you in advance for your help and for everything that you do for people
affected by sexual violence.
Warmly,
Gretchen
