The Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault's annual Sexual Violence
and the College Campus Conference will be September 17-18 at the Madison
Marriott West, and University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus.  Join
advocates, campus staff, faculty and administrators, and students to
explore the unique issues of sexual assault prevention and intervention
on campus.  National speakers Byron Hurt and Anne Munch will focus on
how media portrayals of sexual violence impact students and shapes
campus response.  Byron Hurt is the director of Beyond Beats And Rhymes:
A Hip-Hop Head Weighs in on Manhood in Hip-Hop Culture, a film that
explores the intersection of sexism, racism and capitalism in modern day
hip hop.   Anne Munch, a prosecutor in the Kobe Bryant case will address
the role of the media in helping and hurting the prosecution of and
recovery from sexual assault.   Sessions will address innovative
approaches to healing from sexual assault, the most recent updates and
trends in addressing alcohol-facilitated sexual assault, and model
programs from large and small campuses.  The conference includes a
full-day training for campus law enforcement officers.  CEUs are
